As you know, I love experimenting with vegan cooking & baking. I think that it’s a fun challenge to make versions of my favorite treats without any animal products. My latest experiment was a vegan Chocolate Tofudding, made from only 3 ingredients: tofu, cocoa powder, and honey!  Top it with some raw cacao nibs, and you have a gorgeous easy to prepare dessert or afternoon snack!

Chocolate Tofudding
Makes 4 servings

1 package silken tofu
3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
3 Tbsp honey

Remove as much water from tofu as possible. Combine tofu, cocoa powder, and honey in a food processor and blend until smooth. Tofudding can be eaten right away, but I suggest refrigerating the tofudding for about one hour until it thickens.

I have not tried making Tofudding in a blender, but if you have one available, that might work!

That is a great question Josée! I usually place a few layers of paper towel on top of a plate, and then put the tofu on top. Followed by some more paper towel and a plate (to add weight) on top of the tofu. This way the tofu is lightly pressed by the weight of the plate, and the paper towel can soak up the excess water!

If you have a Costco membership, or know someone who does its a great place to buy kitchen appliances, I got my food processor for $20, and its a really nice cuisinart. 🙂 I also can’t wait to try this recipe!

I used a hand blender to make this. I also added one banana to make it sweeter – delicious!

This is perhaps the grossest thing ever.
Awesome waste of perfectly good tofu, cocoa powder, and honey, as well as my time and efforts.
I even tried to salvage this by adding milk, melted chocolate, and condensed milk in turn.
    No luck.
Don’t bother with this god-awful recipe.
