Today, my heart is heavy. This past weekend, I lost one of my best friends, and heaven gained another angel. This angel being extremely goofy, sarcastic, and creative!
This has been a reminder of just how precious our days are. As my world has turned completely upside down, I am left with so many amazing and funny memories that we spent together. In the spirit of Valentine’s day this week, make the best of every moment with your parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and tell them how much you love and appreciate them. Show them your love not only on Valentine’s day but everyday, for life is entirely too short.

This week has just begun, and it has already been so challenging. I’ve noticed my eating behaviors changing, but I am trying to stay strong because I know that is what he would want. Instead of isolating myself and crawling into a hole, I want to celebrate his life and continue doing what makes me happy: creating new recipes and blogging!

With that said, it’s time for some Monday motivation.
Motivation Monday: “Your stomach shouldn’t be a waste basket.”

This Valentine’s Day, love yourself and your body.
Love everything you have been given, and love your life.
Show your body some love with a fresh Love Spell juice!
This juice is sweet, highly nutritious, and absolutely gorgeous.
Make a juice for you and your sweetie this Valentine’s day, cheers!

Serves 1

4 carrots
1 fuji apple
1/2 medium beet
1/2 lemon
1/2 inch piece of ginger

Rinsee the carrots, apple, and beets. Cut beet in half. Cut the lemon in half and remove rind.Cut ginger into a half inch section and chop off the skin. Juice, and enjoy! I also adorned my juice with heart shaped slices of beets!
Note: I like to refrigerate all of my ingredients before juicing so my juice is nice and cold!
ANother Note: I recommend using organic fruits and veggies for juicing. No one wants wax from a shiny apple in their juice, EW!

I am SO sorry for your loss, Catherine. I can’t even imagine the pain you must be going through, but I think it’s awesome that you are trying to channel that into positive behavior. You know that we all love you and we’re here for you! I hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day.

I have been reading your blog for a bit over a year now without venturing to comment on anything. First off I would like to say thank you, for all of the inspiration that you give to people through your blog. Over the past ten years I have had my own health and weight problems in result, never able to maintain any stability. I had tried it all, the diets- the workouts. But I never realized that, in itself was my problem.
When I found your blog the first of your recipes that I ventured to try were your smoothies- I was hooked from then on! Afterwards I read through and learned just how wrong I was doing things before. Now, I live the rabbit food lifestyle and give my body only the best-which is what it deserves. I feel the best I ever have in my entire life, and I cant help but believe its due to a step in the rabbit direction.
I tried this as a evening boost after an early dinner and it was wonderful! So happy you are well and back to posting!!

Im so sorry to hear about your friend. I just found your blog and love it so far! I did have a question though, in your weight loss story you said you got down to 112 lbs during your restrictive disordered eating, did you gain some weight back once you stopped restricting? Also i love you rabbit food pyramid and read your Q & A and you said each meal is 300-400 calories and works for you so i was just curious how tall you are?

    Thanks!

Hi Angel! Thank you so much 🙂 I was stuck in a crazy restrict/binge cycle, so if I wasn’t restricting I was binging. It took me a while to get back into the routine of normal meals (not too much or too little). Oh, and I am almost 5’4! Once I started eating regular meals, my body became happy and stayed at a steady 125. If you eat healthy and good portions, your body will naturally reach a healthy weight, and this is exactly why I don’t count calories 🙂

I know I’m a few days late, but I am so so sorry for your loss. It is a terrible feeling to lose someone you care dearly about. I don’t know if you’re the religious type or not but regardless, I’m praying for peace for you and his family and everyone else effected. You’re such a strong woman, thank you for continuing to be an inspiration
