Hello Helloooo!
I had the BEST breakfast this morning! Of course it was toast in honor of Toast Tuesday!

Today I did my first official guest post for a blog called Wonder Forest! The author, Dana is a very stylish and extremely talented blogger, graphic artist, and entrepreneur from Ontario, Canada! She owns an adorable shop called Wonder Forest and is also a co-owner of another called Fawn & Flora!

Make sure to stop by and checkout my healthy recipe for: Campfire Kisses! Caution, you will spend hours on her gorgeous blog… Sophisticated combinations of color, typography, and imagery ahead!

Nowww back to some delicious toast! My palette has been craving all sorts of crazy flavor combinations, so I have been experimenting with tons of different food pairings. It’s fun to discover new favorites and change up the good ol’ day breakfast routine!

    Hi there!

I just want to say that I love your websight! I found you on pinterest and have enjoyed your blogs ever since. I started out at 325 lbs and I’m down to 297. I’ve almost lost 30 lbs and your recipes are helping. I can’t give up meat…love it too much. However, I am trying new things thanks to you!

I have a question about the dates you use, I am from southern Illinois and and not been succesful in finding them down here. Any suggestions?

WOW that is AMAZING, Jess! Congratulations on your weight loss! Don’t worry about not giving up meat, everyone has their own personal preference! All foods are welcomed, but try to keep meat portions to about 3oz per serving (if you follow my guidelines) :) I’m happy that my blog and recipes can keep you motivated and inspired to continue your journey :) Keep doing what you’re doing! As for dates, they are really easy to find in CA since there is a huge company that grows them in Pam Springs, CA. I usually find them in the produce section of grocery stores underneath the fruit stands etc. Have you tried asking your local grocery if they could get some in stock for you?
      xo

I didn’t think to ask the grocery stores I shop at to carry them,LOL. I am trying really hard to stick to your guidelines, some days are better than others. I would like to say Thank you for your positive views and positive support of all of us on the journey!

I just started reading your blog and it’s one of the few websites that my work doesn’t block so every morning now I’m getting to work and looking up your site. :) I was wondering if you had any certain brand or kind of bread you use. I’ve always been a wheat bread person anyway but didn’t know if some were better than others?

    • Catherine on said:

Haha I’m so glad my website is still accessible, Megan!
My favorite bread is Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Low Sodium Bread but my favorite wheat bread is Milton’s honey whole-wheat bread

Love these toast tuesdays! Question for you, I sometimes have them as a snack but you said you have these normally for breakfast. Do you feel full after you have that, is there something I should be pairing it with? I’m trying to keep my portions under control!

    • Catherine on said:

Hi Victoria! It depends on the day, sometimes I will have a toast creation for lunch (piled with veggies and extra veggies on the side) and somethings I will have it as an extra post workout snack :)

Too fun Stephanie! You are going to have an amazing time! I love throwing corn in some foil and cooking it in the fire as my “grain” and cooking veggies kabobs and snacking on almonds when I’m camping (or having a bbq!) I also always have Larabars on hand incase I get hungry on a hike! xo
